coffee tools

  • What tools are we talking about?
  • R&B
  • Pražarna
  • Mala Pražarna
  • Cafetino
  • Outro

Brewing coffee at home has always been a relaxing and joyful ritual for many. But the process of resupplying filters, and beans and maybe expanding a collection of brewers and tools can also be a fulfilling experience. Sure, it is easy to order everything needed on the internet. Still, visiting your favorite coffee place is a routine for many of us either way.

So why not map those places not only as spots to drink professionally prepared beverages but also to stock up on necessities for your own brews? In this guide, we will reveal our top choices for places to walk in with the goal of resupplying the coffee inventory in beautiful Ljubljana.

What tools are we talking about?

Regardless of what your favorite method of brewing coffee is, there is a pretty much common list of things you need to make the brew to happen. Such as paper filters for coffee, specially designed kettles, nifty coffee scales and, of course, brewers themselves.

Those come in a variety of forms, shapes and prices, like cheap and easy to find plastic Hario v60 cone brewer or much more expensive and luxurious Goat Story Gina brewer.

Naturally, different venues hold a stock of various instruments by a number of manufacturers. The offer may change but the fact that each and every coffee shop from the following list can be your resupplying point stands.

R&B

We start with R&B, a specialty cafe located on a busy central street in Ljubljana. Today we are here to refresh our home barista inventory and the choice of utensils here is just right for an average coffee-lover.

Apart from cute and practical merch like tote bags and toy sloths (cafe mascot), you can always find keep-cups, filters, cold-brew-making tools, and other brewers. And, of course, specialty coffee beans from various origins and processing methods.

Pražarna

Next, we move to Pražarna, a unique provider of coffee brewing solutions. If you make coffee from Nespresso-type capsules do pay Pražarna a visit since they will be happy to provide you a choice of biodegradable capsules with specialty coffee from a list of origins. You can always buy a machine to pull shots of this capsulated coffee beans there as well.

Naturally, you can also get some v60 or Chemex filters, as well as hand grinders, scales, and aeropress kit. And do check their current offer of specialty coffee on a shelf, you might find something that will tickle your fancy.

Mala Pražarna

Now, to Mala Pražarna, a tiny specialty coffee shop with only essential things for sale. Coffee beans, Gabi Master A coffee brewer, Chemex, and V60 brewers accompanied with the respective filters.

Oh, and you can buy a rare lever Superkop coffee machine for home. That’s right, you can walk in with the intention of getting yourself a pack of specialty coffee and walk out with a coffee-making apparatus that doesn’t require electricity. A how-to-use guide and tasting are provided on demand.

Don’t forget the specialty coffee beans though, the selection might be modest but the quality is surely not.

Cafetino

Looking for a Moka pot and a fitting coffee for it? Cafetino, a coffee shop that provides a selection of moka pots of the Bialetti brand, by far the best manufacturer of mentioned coffee brewing tools.

If you are not a huge fan of acidic and fruity coffee do ask a barista there for a coffee for Moka. They will give you a choice of potent flavor profiles and recommendations on how to prepare the drink.

Outro

We do recommend you consider going for an inventory run to a coffee shop rather than an online dealer. Who knows, it can happen that some of the products there are available exclusively there.

Finally, remember that chatting with a barista can give you unexpected insights into coffee preparation techniques, recipes, and maybe even the way you choose your beans.

Be creative and enjoy!
