Barista Competition

The core of the event is a barista competition during which baristas from around Slovenia will show their skills and try to achieve the title of National Barista Champion of Slovenia 2024.

Baristas will have to prepare several drinks including a signature drink in 15 minutes.

To win the competition, the barista will also have to present the coffee beans used and explain why and how coffee is prepared.

Watching a barista competition is a good opportunity to see a barista at their absolute best as they need to impress judges both with their coffee and presentation.

What to see

By spending a day at the Slovenia Coffee Expo, one may connect with the country’s most active and professional coffee people, enjoy a barista show, and taste unique and rare coffee sourced from around the world.

Most importantly, exhibition guests can discover a whole new world of modern coffee culture.

Visit booths of coffee roasters, meet green coffee importers and talk with baristas about all those and things you heard about coffee.

What to do

We are particularly excited about visiting multiple coffee tastings that will be held in a designated area.

Cup-tasting is a great opportunity to experience the full potential of the coffee and discuss it with specialists in the field.

To prepare for coffee tastings, we invite you to join us at our sensory course and specialty coffee cup-tasting session.

Apart from that, an exhibition is always a good place to network, learn, and discover new things and products.

Do not hesitate to make new acquaintances and ask coffee exhibitors all the questions to soothe your curiosity.

Of course, you can choose from the best roasted coffee the Slovene market has to offer and buy your favorite to brew at home. Since you will be buying it straight from the source, you can ask for advice on how to prepare it to get the best experience.
