ROOSTER COFFEE
Rooster Coffee has its coffees roasted on site and sold by Tovarna kave brand, which means every cup you get here is as fresh and aromatic as it should be.
You’ll find all the classics, such as espresso, cappuccino, and flat white, alongside a thoughtfully curated specialty menu. If you’re visiting, keep an eye out for seasonal drinks that showcase their creativity, and do ask what beans are available for espresso, as it is usually a choice between a daily-driver blend and something more refined.
It’s an ideal quick stop before heading out to explore the old town or the nearby riverfront. If you’re curious to dive deeper, we’ve also prepared a more detailed review of this spot.

PISARNA
Pisarna blends café culture with a practical twist of a co-working space.
Popular with students and digital nomads, it doubles as a study-friendly workspace where you can sip your coffee, focus on your laptop, or even print documents if needed.
But don’t let that fool you, it’s not just for students. Travelers are just as welcome to relax here with a strong double espresso, creamy latte, or refreshing iced coffee. It’s a laid-back place to recharge before your next stop in the city. On top of that, they sometimes host various events for patrons and newcomers of the cafe.

BREWPUB
Don’t let the name fool you, this place is not just a craft beer brewery, as coffee is also roasted and brewed here.
Brewpub has four distinct zones, one of which is located on the second floor and is perfect for enjoying a masterfully executed espresso. And if you are lucky, Christopher, who is a co-owner and coffee roaster, will be behind the bar. Ask him whatever about the place and coffee, and just kick back and enjoy the storytelling.

Polek stands out in Maribor’s specialty coffee scene for going a step further than most.

Whether you’re in the mood for a balanced, approachable espresso, smooth and silky decaf, or something more experimental, the rotating selection keeps things interesting for both newcomers and seasoned coffee enthusiasts.
Here is our tip for coffee lovers: ask whether Jessika is on shift, as she is a chef, barista, and roaster who supplies the shop with coffee. She will help you pick the perfect coffee for you and is always happy to quench your coffee curiosity.
