2 min read
Last edit: Nov 6, 2024
Maribor, despite being the second largest city of Slovenia, often remains in the background of Ljubljana and other popular attractions like the Bled Lake. However, the city offers multiple opportunities for tourists and citizens.
A beautiful old town, open-air festivals during summer, restaurants with traditional cuisine (and it’s delicious!), wineries and vineyards, hiking trails… Maribor can meet anyone’s needs and tastes.
But, obviously, local wine is not the only drink you can get here. So, why not grab a cup of coffee on your way to another adventure or wherever else? We have you covered, so here are a couple of specialty coffee shops in Maribor worth visiting.
HI KO FI MARIBOR
Welcoming visitors inside, outside, and in the garden area, HI KO FI Maribor offers both a nice place to spend some time and a wide variety of fine drinks. Filter coffee, flat white, macchiato, coffee cocktails, and even specialty coffee with some dessert right on the edge of the cup — these and other treats are waiting for you. Sounds intriguing? Then feel free to learn more here.

ROOSTER COFFEE
Rooster Coffee was brought to life by the Tovarnakave roastery, which means that coffee here is always fresh and fragrant. Classic drinks are available in a variety: expresso, cappuccino, flat white, and so on. Besides, you can count on a specialty coffee menu (make sure to look for seasonal drinks!). To provide you with more details on Rooster Coffee, we prepared a separate review, so check it out to learn more.

PISARNA
Pisarna is another interesting place of coffee Maribor. It is an ideal coffee shop for students since they can not only enjoy their favorite drinks there but also study and even print some papers when needed. At the same time, you will be welcomed here regardless of your graduation status. Come and try double espresso (a perfect drink to get some energy), latte, iced coffee, and other stuff. Here you can find a more detailed review.

Note that all these coffee shops are located very close to each other, in the center of Maribor, so you can experience all of them during a single walk! And, by the way, all of them are dog-friendly, so you can bring your pet along.
Since we keep exploring specialty coffee in Slovenia, not only in Maribor, make sure to monitor our updates!
