La Huella: Specialty Coffee Exclusively from Cafe de Panama
1 min read
Last edit: Nov 14, 2024
The preliminary history of La Huella started in 2011, when Cafe de Panama, a small coffee farm located in Panama (sorry for a little tautology), was founded. Later, in 2020, a new collaboration was established, which was exactly La Huella, a branch in the European Union. Therefore, the full name is like this: Cafe de Panama – La Huella. They offer coffee exclusively from Panama (from the original farm), and it has already won several awards, in the “Great Taste” nomination.

Note that since the coffee comes from a small farm, it is produced in rather small volumes. Therefore, every flavor profile is available for a limited time, according to the season and every year’s climate demands. After hand-picking the harvest, one of the following processing methods can be applied: natural, washed, or honey. As for the selection of coffee, you may try, for instance, Panama Black Honey with fruit and caramel flavors or Panama Terroir with nuts and berries aroma. Remember, the selection may vary. The beans are roasted within 24 hours after your order, which means that your coffee will always be fresh. You may also want to try a so-called Discovery Set consisting of 4 samples (one sample per cup).

One more benefit is that Cafe de Panama – La Huella cares for the environment and packs its coffee into CO2-neutral bags. For any coffee available on their website, you can find information regarding the processing method, as well as recommendations on its preparations. Feel free to select the grind size when making an order. This can be whole beans, french press, espresso, etc. You can also count on free worldwide shipping for orders above €100.
